Severe Weather Shelter Network (SWSN) partners with community organizations and agencies to provide overnight shelter on life-threatening winter nights for single men, single women, and couples without children living on the streets. Due to the ongoing spread of Covid-19, SWSN has been forced to cease operations until at least April 4.  Individuals are encouraged to seek transportation to the Denver Rescue Mission or Lawrence Street.  These sites remain open and are accepting those needing shelter from outside communities.

If you are an individual or adult couple seeking resources of food, case management, clothing, and transportation, please visit one of our community partners below.  Many have modified hours due to social distracting practices so please, call before you go.

Severe Weather - Families With Children

Jefferson County does not have a family shelter for the 2019-20 Severe Weather season.   Families can come to an intake site to learn about sheltering options and services to aid each member of the household.  Intake sites are only available Monday-Friday before 4:00 p.m.  If you need shelter on a Severe Weather day and it is after-hours, a holiday, or a weekend, please contact 211.  Families should make contact with an agency below, during business hours, to ensure they have shelter after-hours, weekends, and holidays, as well as connections to organizations that can assist them in finding permanent housing.
